Jianping Zhao, President


Jianping Zhao

Jianping is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of HPCA Foundation, leading all functional areas in the accomplishment of the foundation’s mission.

Ms. Zhao earned her PhD and MS in electrical and biomedical engineering and gained 16 years of professional experience in enterprise application software design/implementation and customer service with IBM Corp.

She is an active hospice volunteer with Heartland Hospice and Vitas Healthcare.

She started building the online hospice and palliative care advocacy blog since start of 2016 and the blogs got over 100,000 clicks since then, and benefited thousands of readers who seek knowledge and information about hospice palliative care. She has designed and made the online presence of the HPCA foundation.

As an IBM Encore Fellow working in nonprofit sector, she helped United Way of Greater Philadelphia and South New Jersey to adopt new technology tools/platform to improve donor engagement and campaign effectiveness. She is also affiliated with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

Zetao Zhang, Executive VP, Field Program Manager, China

Mr. Zetao Zhang, a successful computer science and management professional with over 17 years of entrepreneurship in Medical Information Technology Systems. Mr. Zhang has extensive experience in strategic Business Development, General Management in the medical imaging/clinical, pharmaceutical, medical devices, biotechnology, healthcare insurance and CRO industry including QMS(Quality Management System) responsibilities.

Mr. Zhang is a co-founder of a US-China Medical Alliance group dedicate to helping hospitals develop and implement compassionate care services in China. He also serves the strategic consultation roles for multiple healthcare organizations and NGOs in China.

Mr. Zhang is also founder of HASPOR Technologies Inc., a medical informatics company focused on medical development and support. He is also co-founder and former CEO of Beijing EASYLINKOR Network Technology Inc., a telemedicine enterprise platform company and merged to Beijing BEILU Pharmaceutical Corp, a publicly traded Pharmaceuticals in 2009.

Mr. Zhang sits on various industry and community boards and serves as Secretary of Academic Committee of China Cancer Rehabilitation Society, a member of the Advisory Council of The Clinical Radiologists’ Forum and Information Technology Committee of China High-Tech Industrialization Association.

Olevia Hua Wang, Treasurer

Hua received her Master in Accounting in 2000 from Eastern Michigan University, and had hold progressive roles in accounting and financing department in multiple reputable companies. She is a certified CPA.

Hua is actively involved in community building and enhancement activities. She is devoted to her local Christian Church.
